A Year in Japan (Princeton Architectural Press) is a book I wrote and illustrated about Japanese visual culture. It features things I thought were especially beautiful, surprising, or moving (there are two spreads devoted just to socks––Japan is sock paradise!). You can see a lot of what has influenced my sock designs (and my general approach to art and life) in this book.
